有邊與無邊

概念介紹

就像世間人稱「會掉下去的地方」為「邊」，佛法亦稱「墮入處」為「邊」。而「有」指的是有自性，若認為有自性，便沒有真正站在實際的情況上，而是墮入有邊、常邊；同樣的，「無」指的是完全沒有，若認為諸完全不存在，也沒有真正站上真實情況，而是墮入無邊、斷邊。因此，我們會稱「離二邊」為「中道」。

「二邊」指的即是常邊、斷邊，其意義與「有邊、無邊」完全相同。
